Jochem is the Head of Communications at AMS Institute. He holds a MA in Media Studies and has a strong track record in film- and impact productions, and strategic communication. Being driven by making a societal impact and tackling complex societal and environmental issues - Jochem has been working with a wide range of public, private, and academic organizations and NGOs in The Netherlands and abroad. His last stop before AMS Institute was at the Dutch Research Council (NWO).
Jochem has an entrepreneurial and hands-on mentality and truly believes in the power of inter- and transdisciplinary collaboration to tackle the challenges of our times. He likes to cross borders of social, technological, and environmental perspectives. Hence he feels at home at AMS Institute, where many of his interests and values unite. It drives him to work with top-notch researchers and city innovators on complex sustainable challenges in his hometown Amsterdam.
