With a background in both Communications and Sustainable Development, Katjana feels right at home at the communications department of AMS Institute.
Complex integrated systems, and urban challenges in particular, have always intrigued her; how can we tackle everyday challenges our ever-growing cities face? Making sure both its people and their environment thrive?
In the quest of finding answers; by mapping out challenges, testing solutions, and motivating all stakeholders involved to successfully implement best-practices, Katjana emphasises the vital role of clear-cut communication.
As part of her role as PR and Content Officer, she excites others to join in on AMS’ world of impactful innovations. Together with the Communications Team, she focuses on explaining complex topics – ranging from circularity to food systems –, insights gained and solutions built by the Institute's stakeholders.
Foremost, by creating and sharing such tangible content, she is eager to motivate more and more people to collaborate with the AMS community to tackle the urban challenges our buzzing city of Amsterdam is facing, together.
“It’s key to translate the, often complex, insights our stakeholders gain about everyday urban development issues into easy to grasp content. This way, we can excite and motivate others to join in on the movement to find innovative solutions for metropolitan challenges.”
