Maaike is a student in the Master of Metropolitan Analysis, Design, and Engineering program and works at AMS Institute as a student coach. With a Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Urbanism, and Building Sciences from Delft University of Technology, she is now combining the scale of the metropolis with her interest in improving urban challenges and making the city more sustainable.
Maaike enjoys the analytical and design aspects of her Master's program. Above all, she emphasizes the importance of caring for all stakeholders, recognizing that many will have differing opinions. The human aspect must not be neglected; gaining broad support is essential to achieving meaningful sustainability. She is particularly enthusiastic about her Master's program, which offers an interdisciplinary approach, enabling her to collaborate with others and learn from diverse perspectives. This approach broadens knowledge and provides a refreshing break from her familiar perspective.
As your Student Coach, Maaike is here to support you every step of the way. If you have questions about the program or would like to hear about her experiences at AMS Institute, don't hesitate to contact her anytime!
