Marco is a student assistant with the Urban Energy team in the European project Simply Positive, which focuses on positive energy districts in Europe. He primarily supports the Dutch Consortium (AMS Institute, TUDelft, PVWorks) by raising awareness about the implementation of PV panels on Amsterdam's rooftops. His main tasks include conducting research, planning meetings, and assisting with team management.
Marco earned his bachelor's degree in Energy Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Milan and spent six months on exchange at UPV in Valencia. This project at the AMS Institute is his first chance to apply his knowledge to a real-life case, specifically analyzing data related to PV panels in Amsterdam.
Marco decided to pursue a Master's in MADE at the AMS Institute and challenge himself with a side job as a student assistant, gaining more insight into the city. He moved from Italy to Amsterdam, attracted by the city's promising career opportunities and looking forward to new challenges both within and beyond the energy sector.
