As a member of the Education Team Toine takes care of (re-)developing and coordinating the courses in the 2nd year of the MSc MADE Programme.
Toine has worked for the MADE Programme since april 2018 when, together with Arjen and Nina, he started to co-develop the urban living lab course to give students an unforgettable learning experience. In this living lab course, students tackle a metropolitan challenge to develop a sustainable and innovative product, together with other stakeholders, at a location where the challenge is situated. Toine is the linking pin between students, lecturers, coaches, case owners and AMS staff.
Since 2000, Toine has been involved in programs to improve education and teacher quality at TU Delft. In his ‘professional spare time’ Toine helps public speakers to design a captivating and convincing story and deliver it on stage. In this job, he has discovered the power of silence. In his ‘private spare time,’ Toine loves skiing, ice-skating and sailing. And by the way, his secret pleasure is bird watching and writing about the meaning of bird names (which he likes to reveal to anyone who wants to hear it :-).
“Learning is a joy in the dynamic and challenging setting of Amsterdam!”
