My name is Yannick, and I work as a student assistant on the communications team. My tasks are very diverse. I mainly write (and rewrite) texts about the projects of AMS Institute. Also, I help create visuals used for external communication and support the other team members of the communications team as needed.
Next to working in team communications, I am also a MADE student and part of the MADE IT Board. As secretary, I am responsible for preparing agendas, taking minutes during meetings, managing the mailbox, and coordinating action points for board members. I act as a liaison between the travel committee and the board, support the MADE Forum, and actively participate in the activity committee. Additionally, I lead various projects, such as organizing the introduction days, establishing an advisory board, and developing long-term policies to enhance the student experience.
In addition, I’m an executive director at Young Urban Engineers (YUE), a consultancy run by MADE students. At YUE, we connect students with opportunities to work on sustainable urban projects and gain valuable consultancy experience.
I am passionate about building inclusive and sustainable cities where everyone can thrive. Amsterdam’s diverse and collaborative environment inspires me to contribute to solutions that make urban spaces more equitable and accessible for all.
