Ebru was responsible for exploring, developing and managing long-term partnerships to understand the city, design solutions for its challenges and integrate these into the city. Furthermore, Ebru contributed to the research agenda of AMS Institute within the Research & Valorization Team. As a business administrator by training who gained experience in the financial industry, Ebru was interested in working on the strategic development of AMS Institute.
Ebru has worked on a strategic collaboration between AMS Institute and La Fabrique de la Cité. With this French think-tank in Paris, AMS Institute conducts research on Future of Public Space. Ebru also worked on a strategic collaboration between AMS Institute and Alliander that centered around the question on how to include democratic values in smart decision making processes. Alliander is an energy grid operator in the Netherlands. Ebru was co-developing an urban innovation program with a strategic partner.
With more than half of the world population living in urban areas, an extraordinary pressure is placed on urban design and development. In her work at AMS Institute and as a mother with an intrinsic motivation to think about future generations, Ebru seeks to positively impact the quality of life in urban areas. Ideally, future generations should be able to enjoy city dwelling without worries about climate change, shortage of food, over population and depleted natural resources.
“AMS Institute unlocks talent and knowledge.”
