Anna Silva is a Research Fellow at the AMS Institute and TU Delft. She is involved in MULTI-CARE, a project which aims to create a future-proof, sustainable & user-centered built environment through multi-hazard low-carbon resilient technologies and multi-scale digital services. Her focus on the project lies on addressing the potential trade-offs between Circularity, Climate Resilience, and Energy Performance, considering multiple scales, multiple domains and multiple hazards.
During her doctorate, Anna established a novel multidisciplinary framework to evaluate interdependent aspects of the built environment, simultaneously improving building energy performance and thermal comfort in the built the environment. Her academic and research expertise is complemented by a solid background in policymaking which was acquired during her two-year tenure at Brazil's National Program of Electric Energy Conservation (PROCEL).
Having witnessed first-hand the effects of climate change in my country of origin, I am driven to research on how to create future-proof buildings that contribute to a more efficient and sustainable built environment.
“The worldwide fight against climate change spans multiple disciplines and scales. I am motivated to leverage my academic and professional background to develop multidisciplinary frameworks that improve user's decision-making process, contributing to a more efficient, circular and sustainable future”
