Girish is a research fellow at AMS working in the area of privacy preserving sensing technologies. The urban infrastructure deploys several sensors collecting data for enhancing the safety and efficiency of services to its inhabitants. While doing so, the sensors inevitably collect personal data. My research focuses on exploring alternatives to these existing technologies. The data minimization while sensing, communication and storage, by design, alleviates the misuse of personal data.

Girish is electronics engineer by profession. He has completed his PhD from Indian Institute of Science. His thesis investigated identification for electronic systems based on their minute manufacturing differences. He has also earlier worked in the Indian Electronic and Semiconductor industry for more than a decade.

“The wide spectrum of people at AMS helps me to analyse the Impact of my research through a new perspective”
