Tanya is a postdoctoral research fellow at MIT Senseable City Lab, using urban data science to implement a circular economy in cities.
Her research utilizes spatial data analysis methods on material location data to glean insights for the advancement of circular city and regional development. This includes tasks such as optimizing sites for circular construction hubs and identifying geographical clusters of waste reusers.
Tanya holds a bachelor's degree in architecture. It was during her master's studies that she discovered her passion for sustainability research. In the midst of the pandemic, during her PhD, she took the initiative to teach herself coding. By merging the realms of sustainability, urban environments, and data analysis, her primary objective is to facilitate the sustainable evolution of cities.
