LIFE started in 2021 as a collaboration between 12 pioneering partners in the field, such as the City of Amsterdam, Alliander, Spectral, AMS Institute and TU Delft, led by the Johan Cruijff Arena.

The LIFE project is a collaboration investigating how grid congestion can be managed at district level to enable the energy transition in an inclusive way.

We are pleased to present the innovative results of this work, focusing on the following 3 topics:

Short-term grid congestion management;
Medium-term energy planning at area level;
Collective participation in the local energy system.
