During the Waste Zone Exhibition on Future Build 2019 that will take place in London on 5-7 March 2019, AMS Institute’s Scientific Director Arjan van Timmeren will be one of the keynote speakers.
Besides this, one of the ‘waste huts’ hosted by Gemeente Amsterdam and AT&I will exhibit the AMS Institute REPAIR project. The REPAiR project -Resource Management in Peri-Urban Areas: Going Beyond Urban Metabolism – equips local and regional authorities with strategies and decision making tools that promote using waste as a resource. This European Union Horizon 2020 project is taking place in ‘living labs’ in six metropolitan areas. Making extensive use of digital data, a geodesign approach has clear advantages over older landscape and environmental planning approaches.
