This year’s clips are about pressing topics like energy justice, gentrification, social housing, and urban agriculture. Through their work, students explore how these challenges intersect with the complex realities of cities like Amsterdam, offering insights and creative solutions for a more sustainable and inclusive urban future.

About the Metropolitan Challenges course

The course introduces students to the dynamics of metropoles worldwide, with Amsterdam serving as a 'living lab'. Students gain an understanding of what shapes urban areas, from their emergence to the technological and social challenges they face today.

By creating these knowledge clips, MSc MADE students showcase their learnings and contribute to the ongoing dialogue on the future of sustainable cities.
